Privacy

What we collect, and why.

Short version: only what we need to run the giveaway, fill orders, and award the prize. We never sell it.

When you enter

• Email or mobile number: how we reach you if you win, and where we send a sign-in link if you ask for one. No marketing.
• Instagram handle (optional): to credit your tags and follow to you.
• Entries: which can code, tag, or follow earned each entry and when, plus the IP address and browser used, to stop fraud.
• If you win: your name, and a photo ID check for age and eligibility.

When you scan a can

We record the code, the time, and whether your phone is an iPhone or Android. That tells us which drinks get scanned.

When you order or donate

Stripe handles payment. We see your name, email, phone, shipping address, and what you bought or gave, to fill the order and send a receipt. We never see your card number.

Who sees it

Only the Carolina Cooler team running the giveaway. We use Supabase to store data, Stripe for payments, Resend to send sign-in emails, and Vercel to host the site. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Until the prize is awarded and the class project ends, then we delete it, except what the law requires us to keep about the winner. To see or delete your data sooner, email team@carolinacooler.org.
