Official rules

Carolina Cooler "Free Duke vs. UNC Tickets" Giveaway

No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited.

1. Sponsor

The sponsor is TBD, TBD ("Sponsor"). Carolina Cooler is a BUSI 500 student venture, in collaboration with Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina; all proceeds go to Make-A-Wish and Innovate Carolina.

2. How to enter

During the Entry Period, follow @carolinacooler on Instagram. Following is the only way to enter. Limit one entry per Instagram account, no matter how many drinks you buy or codes you scan.

The QR code and printed code on each can only identify which drink was scanned and open the @carolinacooler profile. Scanning is not required, is not an entry, and gives no extra entries or advantage.

Whether accounts that already follow @carolinacooler when the Entry Period starts are entered: TBD. You must still follow @carolinacooler at the time of the drawing.

3. Eligibility

Open to TBD. Members of the Carolina Cooler team, the Sponsor's staff, and members of their households are not eligible. Entries from accounts that are fake, automated, or created to get more entries are void.

4. Entry period

The Entry Period starts TBD and ends TBD. All times are Eastern.

5. Prize

One winner receives two tickets to TBD, a Duke vs. UNC men's basketball game. Approximate retail value: TBD. No cash or other substitute. Travel, lodging, and all other costs are not included. If the game is canceled or rescheduled, the Sponsor is not responsible for providing a replacement.

6. Odds

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Drawing and notification

On or about TBD, the Sponsor will pick one winner and two alternates at random from the eligible followers in the @carolinacooler follower list, with a witness who is not on the Carolina Cooler team. The Sponsor records the pool size and random seed for every drawing.

The winner is notified by direct message from @carolinacooler only and has 7 days to reply and confirm eligibility. If the winner doesn't respond in time, is ineligible, or declines, the prize goes to the first alternate, then the second.

We will never ask you to pay, click an outside link, or share a password. Messages from any other account claiming you won are scams.

8. Taxes

The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize. If the prize is worth $600 or more, the winner must provide tax information so the Sponsor can issue a Form 1099.

9. Privacy

Your Instagram handle is used only to run this giveaway. Scanning a can records the code, flavor, batch, time, and phone type (iPhone or Android), and nothing that identifies you.

10. Instagram release

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta. By entering, you release Instagram and Meta from any and all liability related to this promotion.

11. No affiliation

This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or affiliated with, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, UNC Athletics, or Duke University.

12. General

The Sponsor's decisions are final. The Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or change this giveaway if fraud, technical problems, or anything else outside its control affects it. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that their Instagram handle may be announced on Instagram and at carolinacooler.org/win.
